Daily Diving
All dives are 2 tank dives, including minimum 1h surface interval, unless specifically organized differently prior to departure. Check in for diving is usually 30 minutes before boat departure.
Please contact office for exact hotel / residence pick-up times.
Who can do Scuba Diving?
Any healthy person:
in a POOL 8 years+
in OPEN SEA 10 years+
How is daily diving organized?
- Our vessel departs from Diani Marine main base at 8.00am or 8.30am according to the dive program
- We do 1 boat trip which includes 2 dives on two different dive sides with a minimum of 1h surface interval, unless specifically organized differently prior to departure
- Check in for diving is usually minimum 30 minutes before boat departure
- We do provide free pick up service from hotels/cottages along Diani beach main road. Please contact our office or visit one of our diving bases in selected hotels for exact pick-up time
- Briefing will be hold before departure. Provide d coffee & tea refreshment
- During surface interval which is on our vessel you will be served fresh fruits & water. Soft drinks are available against charges
- Return to Diani Marine main base is around 1pm.
Diani Marine reserves the right to do any changes accordingly to the needs!

DIVING COURSES
Bubble Maker
Pool introduction into Scuba Diving (8 years + )
Bubblemaker is as fun chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving.
Children use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water.
Ideal for parties or celebrate a birthday with friends and family at our main base.
Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary.
Parental approval is required.
Scuba Diver
This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course for everyone short on time.
Scuba Divers are qualified to:
- dive under direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
- obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities under supervision.
- continue dive training and completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification or other specialty courses.
- Course includes 3x theory, 3x pool, 2x open water dives!
Adventures in diving
This is a subset of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Have you always wanted to try wrack diving, fish identification or deep diving? There’s a long list of scuba adventures you can take part in during this program.
Complete three Adventure Dives and you earn the Adventure Diver certification. It’s a great opportunity to work with your instructor to build your scuba skills and gain more confidence. Get a taste of what you like and enjoy scuba diving more than ever.
Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.
PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 10 years old and want to take the next step should enroll in an Adventure Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your PADI Instructor.
Course includes 3 chosen specialty dives.
Advanced OWD
- No need to be «advanced» to take it – you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
You’ll build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure and Specialties Dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course.
PADI (Junior): OW Divers (12 years +). Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your PADI Instructor. If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
Choose from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation + three more, for a total of 5 dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.
The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
Other knowledge and skills you can vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
Course includes compulsory dives (deep, navigation) and 3 specials as chosen.
Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:
- Self rescue
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
Speciality Course Wreck

Discover Scuba Diving
If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to go for a certification course.
This program provides training in the pool and from dive boat.
A quick and easy introduction to what it takes exploring the underwater world.
Requirements: 10 years +, no prior experience necessary, but good physical health.
Course includes 1x pool session, 1x theory, 2 boat dives!

Dive Master
The PDM course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.
As a PDM, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you.
PDMs are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world – PADI.
PADI Rescue Divers (18 years +) may enrol in the PDM course. You also need to have:
- Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
- A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
- At least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 60 dives to earn certification.
TURTLES
Green turtles can reach up to 1.5 meters in length and weigh an impressive 300 kg, yet they’re remarkably agile, swimming at speeds of up to 35 km/h.
Their nests take about 60 days to hatch, with females laying 100-200 eggs per clutch. Sadly, both Green and Hawksbill turtles are classified as ‘Endangered’ due to threats like hunting and egg poaching.
ALPHA FUNGUO WRECK
5 min south
A 48m fishing trawler, the first ever wreck to be purposefully sunk on the East African coast in 2002 by Diani Marine, in conjunction with the local dive community.
This wreck sits in 28m of water and starts at 17m and has already attracted many large fish.
